Routine Care

Dekton requires very little maintenance. Simply wipe your Dekton surface by using a non-abrasive sponge with soap and warm water on a regular basis to maintain its beauty and shine for years to come. In addition, any pH balanced general-purpose cleaner may be used. (e.g. Pot and Pan Soap, Dish Soap, Windex®)

Difficult Spills
To remove difficult spills, wipe the surface with Pot and Pan Soap and scrub with a Scotch Brite pad and rinse with warm water. For stains that harden as they dry, such as food, gum, nail polish, and paint, remove by gently scraping off of surface (using a blade or putty knife /putty remover), and then clean using warm water and soap. Gray marks leſt by the razor, can be wiped away with soap and water or glass cooktop cleaner. Dekton’s advanced technology makes its surface extremely resistant to damaging chemicals. Difficult spots may be treated with one of the cleaners listed below. Allow the cleaner to sit for up to 10 minutes. Scrub and rinse thoroughly. For stubborn stains see below —

For Wine, Coffee, Food stains, Fruit juice. Use common alkaline detergents or oxidants such as including Dish soap, Formula 409, Windex,
Diluted Bleach and water .

For Wax, Shoe polish, Rubber marks, Dyes, Markers , Inks, Adhesives. The following solvents can be used Lacquer Thinner, Acetone,
Rubbing Alcohol , Mineral spirits.

For Rust, Lime scale, Cement/ plaster residue. Use Acidic based cleaners including Vinegar and water or other over the counter acidic based
cleaners like CLR.

For Tar, Nicotine. Use Solvents or oxidants.

For smears, residue or films. Apply Weiman glass cooktop cleaner or Magic glass cooktop cleaner and wipe clean with a generous amount of water with clean rags. The use of a squeegee may also ease the cleaning process.

Caution should be exercised in the handling and storage of any of the above chemicals / products. Manufacturer’s instructions should be exercised when using and storing these products.

Extreme Heat Protection

Dekton is extremely resistant to large fluctuations in heat and cold. For safety reasons we always recommend placing a trivet or a hot pad directly between your hot pot/ pan and the Dekton surface. This is simply a safety precaution for customers so they are not burned from heat which may transfer from the hot item to the Dekton countertop surface.

Chemicals to Avoid
Avoid exposing your Dekton surface to strong chemicals and solvents for an extended period of time. Although Dekton is Stain proof to many household cleaners, it is never advised to leave these cleaners on your Dekton surface for an extended period of time. Always avoid contact of your Dekton surface with Hydrofluoric acid.

General Precautions

Although Dekton is extremely scratch resistant, we always recommend use of a cutting board for 2 reasons.
1- Knives or metal household utensils will leave grey marks when cutting directly on the Dekton surface. These marks are called “metal transfer” and can be removed with cleaners as noted above; however it is a lot easier to simply cut on a cutting board.

2- Dekton can dull your knives and cooking utensils and it is wise to protect the investment that you have in these items.

You must be the original purchaser and be able to provide proof of purchase when you make a claim. To submit a warranty claim, contact the dealer where you purchased the furniture or the OW Lee sales representative. Prior authorization from the factory or a factory representative is required. If the complaint is covered by warranty and the furniture returned within 24 months from the date of purchase, OW Lee will arrange for freight pick up and pay the surface freight to and from the factory. Return furniture must be cartoned for freight pick up. Furniture must have been used only for residential or commercial use as defined in the original purchase order.

Except as expressly provided herein, O.W. Lee makes no warranties, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. O.W. Lee’s limited warranties may only be processed directly through the dealer or O.W. Lee sales representative who made the sale of the merchandise.

Metal Frame Maintenance

OW Lee metal furniture is designed to require minimum maintenance. Metal frames should be kept clean. Do not let dirt build up on the metal frames. Power washing equipment and harsh cleaners should be avoided. However, a gentle, mild soap with water can be applied if needed, and seasonal touch-up of any scratches, chips or occasional rust seepage from crevices or hidden, unfinishable surfaces inherent in some ornate designs is all that is required. Touch-up pens in matching frame colors are available through your retail dealer. Never leave furniture standing in water. To keep your furniture looking its best, you may wish to store or cover your furniture when not in use for an extended period of time.

Flex Comfort

To maintain your O.W. Lee Flex Comfort seating, frequent vacuuming or light brushing to remove dust and grime is recommended.  Spot clean with mild soap and water. A 1:10 bleach solution may be used for infrequent disinfecting when necessary.

Porcelain Tile Tops

O.W. Lee porcelain tile tops are beautiful and very easy to maintain. Available in a multitude of colors, porcelain tile tops are an ideal material for any outdoor space. Porcelain tiles are made from porcelain clays which is a denser, finer grained clay making them stronger once fired than non-porcelain ceramic tiles. Moreover, porcelain tiles have a low water absorption rate (less than 0.5%) making them very frost resistant. Keep porcelain table tops free of dust with regular cleanings. Clean with a mild liquid soap, water, and a clean soft rag, followed by a clean water rinse to remove soap residue. For tougher stains such as dirt build-up, food, etc, use a ph-balanced cleaner made for use on porcelain. Always store the tops during extended periods of unuse.

Hammered Copper Table Tops

  • Use only light hand soap and water to clean regularly. We recommend non-alkaline hand soap.
  • Do not use an abrasive pad or scrub profusely when cleaning. Copper is a relatively soft metal and will scratch or mar if too much force is used when cleaning. We recommend softly cleaning with a cotton wash cloth or rag.
  • Use coasters and placemats when enjoying the Hammered Copper Table Top. Acids in soft drinks, beer, or any number of beverages may interact with the patina coating. The same is true for a variety of foods.
  • We recommend you keep the table top dry. Continued exposure to water, i.e. repeated exposure to sprinklers or rain may cause the top to oxidize, creating a greenish patina. We also recommend you keep your top covered when not in use or keep under a covered patio.
  • If your top is scratched or comes into contact with an acid, a shiny spot of bare copper may appear. The spot will eventually age back to the original dark brown finish over time.
  • Hammered Copper tops are hand made. Color and patina will vary from top to top. Click here to see variance of Copper Top color and Patina.

Touch up paint, insert glides, glass, cushions and replacement tops for OW Lee furniture are all available at your local patio furniture dealer, or you can click to visit our online Parts Store.
