Can you burn wood in the fire, chat or party pit?
No, these are not wood burning units
With the pit being left outside, is there a drain hole(s) so the basin will drain?
Yes, there is an approximate 5” drain hole at the bottom of the bowl. In addition, a fabric pit cover is included with each new unit.
What are the BTU’s for the burner assembly?
Liquid Propane – 57,000 BTU (fire, chat and party pit). If the unit is converted to natural gas, the BTU‘s remain the same

No, the units are not designed for that purpose
Can the Lazy Susan be used on the Fire, Chat and Party Pit?
Yes
Does the mosaic hearth get hot from the fire?
The hearth may get warm to the touch, depending on flame height and how long the unit has been burning. The wind can also be a factor in the heating of the hearth. In factory tests, hearths remained comfortable to the touch after many hours of high flame operation.
What are the approximate heights of the Fire Pit and Party Pit units?
Fire Pit w/mosaic or granite top: 18-1/2"

What’s the measurement of the usable hearth space from fire pit center to the rim?

Is there a warranty on the burner unit?
Yes, there is a one-year manufacturer’s warranty on the burner unit.
Do you have to use the Ceramic Logs?
No, you may opt for the Lava Rock option for more contemporary settings.
Do fire pits sold to customers in Canada need special certification?
Yes, all fire pits shipped into Canada will include a special Canadian certification.
How long will a standard Propane tank last?
Approximately 10 to 12 hours, depending on varying weather conditions.
Why do I have soot on my logs/lava?
It is normal when burning Natural Gas or Liquid Propane for soot to build up.
How do I clean the soot off my logs/lava?
To clean your logs/lava, use a soft plastic bristle brush and scrub using plain water. Rinse and replace logs as per your manual instructions.
How do you light these units?
The safety instructions should always be read prior to lighting the unit for the fist time.
1. Push in the manual gas control knob slightly and turn clockwise to the “OFF” position.
2. Wait 5 minutes for the gas to clear out.
3. Place a burning match to the surface of the lava granules that cover the burner. Do not hold the match by hand.
4. After the match is burning and in position, push in the manual gas control knob slightly, and turn the knob counter-clockwise to the “ON” position.
How do you shut the units off?
Turn off, rotate the manual gas control knob clockwise to the “OFF” position.
Can these units be changed to Natural Gas?
The burner system comes with a Natural Gas orifice, and conversion instructions are located in the owner’s manual. However, O.W. Lee highly recommends that a professional installer performs the conversion process. O.W. Lee does not supply natural gas hose

Flame on the unit is low:
A. The propane tank is low on fuel – refill or change tank.
B. Turn off the unit and close the propane tank and disconnect. Reconnect the propane tank making sure the valve on the tank and pit are completely turned off. Turn on the propane tank first and follow the lighting instructions.
